    1. I couldn't finish this book. I tried. Oh, I tried. It was an audiobook, and the narration was quite good, considering. But I just couldn't do it, because this book is eye-rollingly bad. I made it to 3 hours, out of 9. When I looked at my phone and realized that I had 6 more hours of this book, I called it. Then, later that day, ruminating on it, I had a revelation. This. is the worst book I've ever read. Or had someone read to me in this case. Either way.I normally don't do DNF reviews, because [...]

    2. First ContactTantalus, Book 1By: M.A. AbrahamNarrated by: Brian CallananThis is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary. I really enjoyed this book! It has two stories going on at one time. One story is of the ship and occupants traveling to Mars, but they end up missing Mars and find a planet that is hidden somehow magically behind Mars. There is murders and intrigue going on during the trip on the ship. The other story is on the Planet Tantalus where the ship is heading to. The [...]

    3. First Contact by M.A. Abraham is the 1st book in her new Tantalus series. This is a Sci-Fi story that has space traveling, romance, mystery, new planet, new species, and interesting world-building. The premise of this story is to introduce us to the two species that will come together by the end, leading the way to a world that will co-exist between humans and Tantalarians, who look human, but they have wings. But to get there is what First Contact is all about. We meet the humans on a huge space [...]

    4. This is a new interesting series. The second series written by this author. Elven Chronicles maybe my favorite but this Sci/Fi fantasy series may become my second. First Contact is a very exciting and detailed book that explained this new world Tantalus. It started with six ships that left Earth to join the ships in Mars to colonize but these six ships went off course due to faults in equipment. One of the ships called Noah's Ark noticed the problem immediately after one of the members (view spo [...]

    5. First Contact by Ma Abraham First let me say I recieved this book as a review copy, and what a great gift it was! I may or may not post spoilers. This a in depth book about deep space travel and the possibility that aliens do live on other planets. Now, that being said this is also a mystery about Salem witches and the hunt for them. What a GREAT concept! This gives you a realistic look at what if you could take a space ship and turn it into a living city for those who want a brand new start on a [...]

    6. Tantalus is an exciting new world from one of my fave author, filled with suspense, space travel, witch hunters, landing on an unknown planet and meeting the indigenous species, add a dash or ten of romance makes for excellent reading. Loved this scifi story, Michael and Karia are so well matched and their joining is explosive. Again, I am amazed of the easy way Ms. Abraham pulled me into the story and kept me there throughout the book, the way the parallel story of the Earth spaceship's journey [...]

    7. The Queen of Elves, M.A. Abraham has started a new Sci-Fi series in which two species will hopefully co-exist together. The Humans and the Tantalarians who look like us but have wings.50,000 people leave Earth on the Noah's Arc ship to live on Mars. Something goes wrong - the coordinates are wrong and they can't override the computer to correct it. Seems instead of going to Mars they are on their way to another planet that no one even knew existed. From different testing it seems it will be comp [...]

    8. I have to start out this review with a confession. Well, two confessions. Confession "numero uno": I did not finish this book. If I am honest with you, it would be more accurate to say, I _could not_ finish this book. I had to tap out about 4 hours into it. This is not something that happens to me often, especially on audiobooks. I can usually muster through, focus on the things I like and gloss over things that I do not like. Which brings me to confession number two: I really dislike giving neg [...]

    9. Mary Ann has created a wonderful new world . How wonderful it would be to have wings to fly. Tantalus is a world on the verge of a new era and with the arrival of humans from Earth it will be very interesting to see where this goes. Mitchell and Karia are a very hot couple and their final coming together was a steamy read. I loved the Captain of the Starship Noah's Arc and his lady Cara . Theirs was a wonderful story too. All of the secondary characters in the book were interesting and I am hopi [...]

    10. WOW, where to beginFirst off, I felt as if I was reading two stories in one (a total bonus). Both intertwined into one. Each was exciting, romantic and fun in its own way and when brought together. Total awesomeness!First Contact is a story for those readers that enjoy Sci-fi, romance and a great original story all wrapped into one amazing package!I've read quite a few of M.A. Abraham's works and find myself a happy reader in the end (and during) each and every time. 12. I love this book! I don't normally read sci-fi but am glad I gave it a chance. First Contact was well-written, has a great storyline and is very descriptive. I could easily picture the spaceship, world, and it's inhabitants in my head. Brian Callanan did an excellent job at narration. He has a great voice, was easily understood, and kept my attention. Overall a perfect for this book. I can't wait for the next to come our on audible!

    14. "Sci fi with heavy romance/passion tones."This book was given to me free at my request and I provided this voluntary review. This book is a good story with plenty of character development and progression. You feel connected and involved with the characters. The story moves along well without any slow sections. Even has a few twists you don't expect. The narration is immersive and well defined with each character being unique enough that you can always distinguish between them. However in my opinion [...]
