    1. What a great heart-warming Christmas story. You can not help but fall in love with all the characters, especially Sophie, Angie and Mitch. The small town life reminded me of where I grew up, though this town was leaps and bounds a tighter, loving community. I enjoyed the story- it sucked you in from the start. I laughed out loud quite a few times and wiped a few tears away. The ending was perfect. Maybe a book two in the future?I received a copy for an honest review.

    2. To read this review in it's entirety, please go to kristenbrockmeyer.Right around this time of the year, my sweet tooth starts acting up. (Okay, I lie. My sweet tooth is always acting up.) I start craving mint and chocolate things, dreaming of snowflake-shaped sugar cookie cutouts outlined sparkling white icing, and digging out the old, traditional family treat recipes.Reading Patricia Kiyono's Christmas Wishes was like eating one of my late Grandma Rolfe's church window candies. If you've never [...]

    3. This is a touching love story between Mitchell and Sophie. He is lost and has lost love in his life. She doesn’t think she is lost and has lost love in her life also. He has a 6 year old daughter, Angie, who he has no clue how to be a dad to- there used to be people to help with that. She is caring, and can fill the holes in Mitch’s life. Along the way to becoming the perfect pair they can be they allow doubt to creep in. It is a story of the pain of loss- for everyone and how to come out on [...]

    4. Perfect way to start the holiday season. Patricia Kiyono captures the real essence of our every day lives when we hit a cross road and aren't sure what path to take. It shows how sometimes we follow dreams because we think it's where we belong, when really, all we have to do is open our eyes to what we have and take it from there. Beautiful story about community, family, companionship, faith and love. I really enjoyed reading the story, the author's style felt very real and the emotions of the c [...]

A Christmas pageant and a little girl bring them together in the sweetest of ways! But just as he moves to town, Sophie is beginning her plans to leave. More, there's a stranger in town watching every move Mitch makes. As Sophie puts together the Christmas pageant and Mitch begins his new business, they begin to fall in love. It's a story of love, an adorable child and [...]

While Sophie Gardner has bigger dreams! Their lives collide and a beautiful love story will bloom. Ms. Kiyono is a new author for me and someone suggested me to read her book which I really enjoyed. 7. Patricia Kiyono has captured the essence of small town America, not just small town Michigan. She weaves a tale around them and convinces you that you know each and every one of them, the snotty boys in the play, the bossy sister, the mother in law you want to send to Siberia, they're all there. You sympathize with the single dad,you care about Sophieyou believe in them all. With the holidays coming up, this would be a great one to travel with and set the tone for the season

    9. This is my first time reading this author so go for it on a recommendation of someone else who I trust in recommending something good. When seeing the title I am such a sap for stories like this anyways. If you have ever watched any Lifetime movies you know what I am speaking of. Widowed father Mitch doing his level best to raise his daughter Angie in a different town and different style all the way around. Before there was cooks and housekeepers on hand to handle the day to day stuff. Now just [...]

    10. Christmas Wishes is a wonderful story to get anybody into the holiday spirit(it revolves around Thanksgiving and Christmas)Sophie Gardner puts her dreams of being a famous screenwriter on hold to move back to her hometown, to take care of her pregnant sister. Sophie helps to take over her sister's activities which one of them is putting on the Christmas pageant with the children at church. 11. I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book! A great contemporary romance that had me from the very first page. This isn't your typical girl meets guy and falls head over heels. This story is of a single dad of a little girl who moves to a small town from the be city to raise his little girl. His wife passed away but that didn't stop her mother from keeping a close eye on Mitch to prove that he isn't a fit father. She goes to extremes whi [...]

    12. Christmas Wishes is an absolutely wonderful Christmas novella! Patricia Kiyono is a new to me author and I was not disappointed by the recommendation! Christmas Wishes is a beautiful story about a father and daughter who lost their wife and mother in a tragic accident. They moved to a small town in Michigan to be closer to family and they met their angel and new best friend, Sophie. Mitch and Sophie had an instant connection, so did Sophie and Angie. I loved Sophie and her kind personality. The [...]

    13. This was an enjoyable read for a slow afternoon, even though I am not one for reading holiday themed books like this. The author is a good writer. The only thing I had issue with is that though Mitch and Sophie are attracted to each other from the start, they never seem to have a real conversation that will lead to a real romance. The children in the book are fun and entertaining and were my favorite part of the book.I was provided with a copy from the author for free in exchange for an honest r [...]

    14. Christmas wishes by patricia kiyono was an enchanting tale of a man named Mitch his little girl named Angie and a women named Sophie. Between Angie and a hectic work schedule Mitch was having absolutely no luck in the relationship arena, not that he really cared his little girl is his life and he is happy that way. Throughout the story Mitch and Sophie were continually thrown together in ways that although not normal still makes a women happy because the plot in the story can happen in real life [...]

The story line was sweet and believable; right from the interactions between the characters to the uncomfortable situations with the nasty mother-in-law! Though it is a Christmas based story, you can enjoy this book anytime of the year. A big thumbs up to Patricia Kiyono! I look forward to reading more books from this author.
