    1. 4.5 out of 5I volunteered to read this and supply an honest review. I’d previously read CONNECTED and A MODERN LOVE STORY by the same author and had high hopes… I was delighted to say my hopes were not only met, but exceeded. To say that Kassie is having a bad day, would be an understatement. Everything from tripping over the cat to being accosted on the way to work, seems set to ruin her day.I’m waiting for the day when he flashes open his coat and I see more than hot jewelry. And when tha [...]

    2. Another entertaining easy read from Jolyn Palliata.Ms Palliata has a great way with words, using them in an easy brezy fashion that is both entertaining and enjoyable to read. We get things likeI ooze out of bed. andWe spill out onto the sidewalk.I have read Connected and a Modern Love Story and enjoyed the way they were written as well as the story itself, "Heaven help me, or hell have me" is no different. Six chapters (It's a novelette) in the life of Kassie, and her weird life, in which nothi [...]

    3. This novelette came highly recommended from a friend and I owe her big-time for giving me the heads-up on this gem. It's a quick read and looks to be part of a series. It's first person and the POV character is Kassie, a gal I liked from the first paragraph. She's witty, cynical, and has zero filter from brain to mouth. My kind of girl. Her mantra is the book title and one day the powers-that-be decid to take her up on her offer. What ensues is a lot of fun.I enjoyed the writing style of the auth [...]

    4. So, I got a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. At first I was wary of the idea of the heaven hell set up as angels are the new zombies are the new vampires etc. I was also coming off of a long period of reading angsty books with angsty protagonists, male and female. So this novelette was a huge relief. The heroine is likeable, a little bit zany and a whole lot addicted to caffeine. My only downside? I want more, this being a novelette sets up a great premise for a series and [...]

    5. 3.75stars actuallyI don’t really know what to say about this novella. I got that Kassie was well known in her neighborhood, did things as a routine, had a stain for a boss and was a fan of the title phrase. Then one day things changed for her. All of the mechanics were perfect (as usual from Ms. Palliata) making it a breezy, happy light-hearted read. While the novelette was self-contained, I’d settled into Kassie & her world. I was anxious to see where I was going and was very disappoint [...]

    6. Loved this book. I really liked Kassie and can't wait to see what happens with her and her angel. This author needs to write faster. I went to her site and there are about 10 books planned for this series and then of course there is a complete set that will be for sale. It would sure make sense to wait for the complete set as it will be cheaper and I won't drive myself nuts waiting for the next installment to come out. I'm just not sure I can wait that long to get my next Kassie and Nikolas fix

    7. 4.5 stars. I can't give it 5 cuz it was so short, but it was a great short read that has me dying to know what's going to happen next. The MCs both seem a little accident prone. Kassie always tripping over her cat and falling outside Starbucks every day, and Nikolas who isn't supposed to be seen by anyone but can't get his transmutation power right, so Kassie can see him. Should be interesting to see how these two fair against Hell's PTB.

    8. I know this is just a teaser of things to come but for some reason this just didn't click for me.I wasn't a fan of the h, she annoyed me a bit.But I did like the idea behind this and G-man seemed kinda cute, and I can see how there will be plenty of angst and forbidden moments to come.I usually love Ms. Palliata's writing but this just doesn't seem to be my cup of tean't win them all :(

    11. Interesting point of view. Short, sassy, witty, and full of unique humor. A girl who is a walking disaster and knows it and her in-training guardian angel: what a concept.
