    1. Someone is killing LAPD officers, and not leaving a lot of clues. Maddie Divine and her partner were assigned to the task force investigating these killings, along with several other officers that Maddie knows. The clues start pointing to another officer killing these officers, which makes everyone jumpy.I really enjoyed this book. I like the way Kathy Bennett writes, and I felt very much a part of the action. I did not figure the ending out early. I plan on reading her future books too.

    5. This book was mid-pack. It was a good story brought down by crappy quality control and some gaps in storytelling.Bennett tells this story from multiple POVs, using a first person POV for her main character, Madison (Maddie) Devine. However, in one chapter in Maddie’s POV, Bennett shifts to third person for one paragraph then back to first. There also were many grammar and punctuation errors in this book. And some goofy sentences like McCool and I sat at our desks in the squad room was packed wi [...]

    6. You can find more reviews Mademoisellesnow BlogThis was the first time that I’ve picked up something by Kathy Bennett. The characters that she created were fantastic and I enjoyed the flow of the story. But I just couldn’t quite connect with the story when the scenes changed so much with very little explanation in the beginning. I did feel that I was probably missing some of the storylines since I haven’t read the other books. I felt that this sort of book would be great as a standalone bu [...]

    7. Once again, Ms.Bennett dazzles with characters so real you start to suspect your next door neighbor might be the next suspect! I loved every page of this book and couldn't put it down. I had to know who the culprit was, and like any good who-done-it, there are complications, twists and turns only someone who has been in law enforcement could come up with.

    8. I have read everything Kathy Bennett has written and each of her books becomes my very favorite! Deadly Denial is once again a fast and fun read with perfect pacing---I read it in one night! Kathy's characters are real; her depiction of law enforcement is genuine; her plot is twisted and comes together beautifully in the end.
