    1. 2.5 stars"Do not fear, little one," Nikhil found himself pulling her close, cooing in her ear. "I vow you are safe."As the Squad Leader of the Elite Warriors, Nikhil Kozar is a supper large intimidating warrior, his fellow warriors see him as extremely capable soldier and an over achiever who gets things done and is a pain in the ass at the training field. Due to his size, others are intimidated by him, especially females. When he finds a badly beaten and malnourished human female (Mackenzie, Ma [...]

    2. ***Warning! Possible spoilers and some definite raging below!!***I’ve been waiting for Ms Eidem to come out with a new book for what seems like forever! Not really, but I preordered this bad boy up immediately when I saw she decided to write this one before Treyvon. I love her stories and world building. She never disappoints with her perfect heroes. This was no different. Ms Eidem introduces us to a sister race of the Tornians, the Kaliszians, that we catch a first glimpse of in Wray and Grim [...]

    3. Don't read if you don't want spoilers!!! 4 stars because of Nikhil, Mac annoyed the shit out of me. I didn't like the fact that they can have kids with someone that they're not their true mates. I just hope the author doesn't go through that route about having a love triangles in the MCs. There were some secondary characters that they had ashes and didn't find their true mates but what if they ever did find them that would cause a problem at least that's my POV

    4. I really liked this one and can't wait to read book two. I love a good alien/human romance and so this book was just what I was looking for. I will say at times I just wanted the heroine to go more with the flow, yes it's a huge difference between you, but if you are with an alien and you both didn't even know the other race existed you need to know you both will have different normals. It bugs me when in that situation the people/alien expect the other to do everything like they would. After sa [...]

    5. The first book in M.K. Eidem's series, Kaliszians. Nikhil Kozar, squad leader of the Kaliszian Elite Guard, is checking out the caves on Pontus when he finds the beaten and half dead body of a female. But she is not of his species or any he knows. She is in fact a human from Earth and was captured and sold as a slave to work the mines. Mackenzie "Mac" Wharton feels she failed her group as a guide when they were captured by the Ganglians. After being beaten she awakes to find herself in the arms [...]

    6. [image error]I am still conflicted how I feel about this one. I picked this up despite of ugly-ugly cover because I read one of my friends review for its sister-series. This has Ice Planet Barbarian feel to it but more militia and political drama thrown into it. What got on my nerves - spelling mistakes (there are few not much)POV change (from first to third?? in the middle chapter - that had definitely tested my resolve to finish this) Repetition (Oh my God! so many repeated conversations - I w [...]

    8. This book had no story. It went nowhere at all. Writing style worse than previous books from this author. The characters in this book exclaim everything ! With multiple exclamation points!!!!!! Even though what they are saying is not worth exclaiming! I may reconsider my two stars and one star it

    9. I love this writer and was a huge fan of Grim and Wray. this book was good, but not I didn’t quite enjoy it as much as the others. The plot was fast paced and I really adored the hero. My only complaint, AND SLIGHT SPOILER. the hero was so endearing and innocent in the first half of this book. I absolutely fell in love with his character. He spoke of how he had never kissed a woman aside from his mom and sister. He spoke of how women were scared of him and avoided him because he was so large, [...]

    10. Yum. Yum. Alien Romance Candy.I like this spin off series. The hero is sweet and the heroine is resourceful. The culture clashes are a bit overwrought but it is fun way to spend an afternoon. Can't wait for the next one.

    11. Wow, that cover so cheesy! If you can get past the cover, there's a decent alien/human romance to be had. The heroine was annoying at times, but the hero made up for her shortcomings. Overall a fun/quick read.3.5 Stars

    12. 3.5 RATING- Guilty pleasure Sci-Fi! Overall I enjoyed and plan to read the next in the series. This series is a spin off of another series by the author. I have read book one in that series and think it helped a bit grasping some elements with this one. Some events were alluded to that I obviously missed but nothing that hindered my enjoyment

    13. First off, I'm a big M.K. Eidem fan so I was really happy to get a new series set in the same world/universe as Wray.I found Mackenzie to be a little annoying and Nikhil to be a bit of a push-over. I guess this is to be expected since True Mates are impossibly rare. I loved the "beads" and found this concept really original. The traitor/bad guy issue is not dealt with and the ending is a bit abrupt. Can't wait for more though.g on Treyvon

    14. I love M.K. Eidem books! I expected Treyvon's book to come out first, but after reading a blurb on the author's website that she needed to tell Nikhil's story first before Treyvon made sense. Her website mentioned she told Grim's story (first book I've read of hers and absolutely LOVE!) when she should've told Wray's story first. I really like Nikhil's story and am anxious to read about Treyvon. I am curious if she will write about the '3 powerful species in the known universe' and how that all [...]

    15. This book is too cute. M.K. Eidem can be hit or miss for me but this one was a hit. It wasn't as good as grim though, I feel like I keep waiting for something to equal that to me and it's not coming but this was closer. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the beads. Also, the ending that really rest to me. I'm really excited for the next book and also for Gryfs, I felt like that little teaser with whoever Mica is was too much to let go I'm gonna need that book.

    16. A nice SF romance. I enjoyed it!Interesting custom of beads that shows where one is coming from, what did one achieve in life and wheather one is married or not! Looking forward to reading the next one!

    17. The Kaliszians are here.First, let me say that I absolutely love this story. I believe that Nikhil will come to rival Grim as a much re read story. Nikhil is a very large Kaliszian warrior and Mackenzie is a small human. Their story can be read alone but you should really have the background of Grim and Wray to understand everything. The clash of cultures could ruin everything. The Kaliszians wear Suja beads in their hair that tell their accomplishments and heritage but super important are the T [...]

    19. 3.50 / 4 StarsEnjoyed the story as a whole. Definitely insta-love. The irritating part for me was Nikhil's constant jumping to conclusions without letting Mac explain. The Kaliszians aren't stupid, so all of them should know there's going to be differences in culture and expectations.

    21. Nikhil (Kaliszians Book 1} M K EidemA true Romantic myself, I really appreciate a well written, deep, complex, sensual, Sci-Fi Love Story that I can lose myself in while reading. This story meets all that criteria……and more! Mackenzie Wharton, “Mac”, is a petite, curvy, Human Female one of a group that had been abducted by the Ganglians, ending up mining power crystals as a slave. Squad Leader Nikhil Kozar, a very a large, sculpted, strong Kaliszian Warrior sent with a garrison of Kalisz [...]

    22. There’s one way to describe Nikhil. Huge. Even amongst the strongest and biggest of the warriors of the Kaliszian Empire, Nikhil is the biggest and strongest. But, his size doesn’t bother Mac, after all he has just saved her from a life of slavery and far worse, and that life would have proven to be very short. Not that Mac has any idea where she is, being captured by aliens and sold as labour wasn’t something she ever expected to happen to her, but Nikhil’s strength and love seem to be [...]

    23. A new set of aliens, but who know the Tornians, so not so much world building as with Ray, but society building. I loved Nikhil. He was so strong and had to deal with so much prejudice because of his size. Of course, the food shortage on his planet colors everything in their lives so it's easy to understand where it comes from without approving of it, which was a fine line that MK Eidem walked successfully.I will say that the mating customs in this book are not so different from others, but the [...]

    24. I've read a few books by Ms Eiden. And while they weren't particularly good, they were at least ok. So I thought to try this one. But the sample of Nikhil seems so badly written that it seems a different author. Still, I was bored, but I wasn't willing to try some new author. And so after a few weeks I went and bought this book. What can I say but shame on me? The rest of the book was even worse than the sample. It's really bad, badly written and badly thought/planned. I don't know if she needed [...]

    25. In a long awaited entry to the Tornian "universe" M. Eidem starts off her new series of the Kaliszians with Nikhil. As usual, I devoured the new book without putting it down! The story is set approximately six weeks after the book Wray and takes up with one of the other major races of her universe - the Kaliszians.I debated giving the book a five or four star review, I finally decided on a four star for the following reasons: 1) I felt the end was a bit rushed it didn't leave me with a sense of [...]

    26. I'm a big fan of M.K. Eidem and am yet to read one of her books and be disappointed. Between her and S.E. Smith I have all my sci-fi romance needs met! Nikhil was a great read and it was fab how all of Eidem's book universes are starting to intertwine. This book is a lot more compact than her other ones. The story is staged in one small area but still manages to encompass and shine a light on a different species and their culture. Loved all the characters. Have a feeling that Treyvon and Jen's b [...]
