    2. It's always fun to catch up with Lucky O'Toole, troubleshooter at the Babylon casino/resort hotel in Las Vegas. There will always be hijinks, troubles with Lucky's mother, Mona, a little romance, great recurring characters, and, of course, a murder or two. That's true in Deborah Coonts' latest mystery, Lucky Catch. At the same time, so much has changed. Mona is pregnant, and running for political office. Lucky's best friend and former lover, Teddie, has returned, breaking her heart again, just wh [...]

    3. I received a copy of Lucky Catch in exchange for an honest review.I’ve read all of the Lucky books so far in this series, and I highly recommend them all! I was so excited to get back into Lucky’s world, and it came at the perfect time – I was reading this one during my trip to Vegas! So we meet back up with Lucky after her breakup with Teddie and in the beginning stages of her relationship with Jean-Charles, who quickly becomes a suspect in a rash of brutal murders. Coonts has an effortle [...]

    4. I discovered this series a week ago and have kept reading as I am enjoying Lucky’s adventures. This book wasn’t quite as good as the others but still fun. I love the author’s combination of humor, sarcasm and mystery, though I felt this one dragged a little more with Lucky’s personal crisis and subsequent self reflection. Thankfully Lucky seemed to get her mojo back by the end of the book and I will continue my binge reading. One major gripe - The Teddie issue. Having read all the books [...]

    5. Lucky O’Toole is the VP of Customer Relations for Babylon, the most over-the-top casino and resort in Vegas, so she’s accustomed to handing problems. Besides, her mother, Mona, formerly the proprietor of a bordello, is now married to Lucky’s boss and father, and is pregnant, which presents its own unique set of problems for her. With a bunch of chefs with huge egos in town for a competition, and an expensive truffle to be safeguarded, she doesn’t need any more complications. Hah! She shou [...]

    6. As with all of the Lucky O'Toole books, this one has a lot going on. A lot. It starts where the last book left off, with Lucky's ex (ex-best friend, ex-boyfriend, ex-lover, ex-love of her life), Teddie, the female impersonator, arriving back in Vegas. He's fresh off his tour and ready to walk back into Lucky's life. Except that she's already with someone else, Jean-Charles, a chef in her father's casino. Too bad he seems to be involved in something shady. He's disappeared along with a truffle th [...]

    7. Solid edition to the Lucky O Toole series. I was getting a bit tired of Lucky's 'poor me' attitude, so I was glad when she started getting back to her usual kick ass self.

    8. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review (through The Books Machine). Wow so I don't know where to start. This book was a hell of a ride. In a good way, obviously. First, I need to say that this was the first book I've read of this series even though it's actually the 5th book. Long story, I won't bore you with it. Let's just say, at first it wasn't very simple understanding all of it because I obviously missed the previous 4 books. But I still liked this book a lot. After the slo [...]

    9. Deborah Coonts is back with a new Vegas mystery featuring our favorite amateur sleuth, Lucky O’Toole. This time Lucky ‘s current beau goes missing – and at the same time the prized truffle due to be used in a cooking competition at the resort seems to be lost. And then two dead bodies found on the premises of The Babylon Resort need to be dealt with. Finding out whodunit is just one of the items on Lucky’s list of things to do. She also has to deal with a pig in one of the resort’s excl [...]

    11. Lucky Catch, the fifth in Deborah Coonts Lucky series, starts almost immediately where Lucky Bastard left off. While it is nice that the story continues on so quickly in some ways it was a little too quick for my taste. I’d barely recovered from the last murder, let alone Lucky. The tight timeframe made it feel more like one book instead of two distinct, so reading them together is a good idea. After the upheaval of Lucky Bastard things do start to even out. Lucky finds her equilibrium again a [...]

    12. A return to the world of Lucky O'Toole is a return to a joyous romp through Las Vegas and the world in which she inhabits. With a wonderful supporting cast of characters Lucky finds herself involved with the inner working of high end casinos, gorgeous men, murder of a peculiar sort and insecurities that can only be solved by fast driving Ferraris, Wild turkey 101 and mayhem. What more could a reader ask for in a cozy read? Teddy is back, Jean Charles is up to his eyeballs in secret stuff and Rom [...]

    13. Lucky Catch is the fifth full-length novel in the Lucky O'Toole romantic mystery series. In this book, Lucky, the VP of customer relations at the Babylon Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, helps the police track down a killer who's first victim was killed with a smoking gun. (The type used to smoke foods like cheese and fish at restaurants. )If you're already a fan of the Lucky O'Toole series, you'll love this book, but first-time readers will find this to be an enjoyable introduction to the serie [...]

    14. When I started this book, I didn't realize how much I missed Lucky and her crew! And this book didn't disappoint. I honestly couldn't put it down until finished. Teddie is back and Lucky isn't happy about that. She's just starting a relationship with Jean-Charles and Teddie complicates things. And now, Jean-Charles is implicated in murders and disappears. Lucky feels she can no longer trust Teddie, but can she trust Jean-Charles? Finally, Lucky comes to the realization that she has to get her li [...]

    16. I received this book in a Giveaway and my attention was captured as soon as I started to read. The protagonist, Lucky was developed that I identified myself with her. The environment was accurate and it was easy to place myself there. This the fifth book in the series and times I was lost as I didn't know the players. I will be looking for the earlier books to read. The story takes place in Las Vegas strip; mostly at the Babylon, casino that her parents own. There a problem in the food supply th [...]

    17. Lucky Catch was a lucky catch for me as I won a signed copy of the book. I was not familiar with this series and the past relationship with the ex-husband was a big point in the book and a few other references to past events were mentioned, but they didn't interference with the understanding and enjoyment of the book. I will be looking forward to any new books of this series and will be catching up on the past ones. As for the story, it was entertaining and had a good mix of characters who kept [...]

    18. Still loving this series. As with any truly good series the entire cast of characters is what makes the books gel. There is such a great line-up of personalities in these books. While I'm still unsure how I feel about Lucky and Teddie not being together any more you have to love a hunky Frenchman who loves his kid and can cook. And Miss P. and The Beautiful Jeremy Whitlock are such a great couple too. I hope the author will keep adding to the series.

    19. This book has Lucky trying to come to terms with the fact that Teddy is back in Vegas and wants back in her life. She also is trying to track down a missing truffle, find her missing lover and figure out who the murderer of two people is. Mona has found out she is having twins and Lucky is not sure how she feels about that. Lucky has some problems with her emotions being at a high level because of Teddy's return. The book was a quick easy read.

    22. Lucky's going through an emotional low that brings her perilously close to stupid territory. This made parts of the story drag for me. By the end, though, she's back on track and ready for her next adventure
